fill empty homes and orphan hearts

Welcome to the Khevna Foundation Blog, I am Beverley Gengiah… it’s taken me a while but here I am,

…. but there is a time and season for everything under heaven. Just to quote the wisest man ever… King Solomon

Many, many moons ago I was given a book to read called  “The Empty Womb” Having being diagnosed with endometriosis at the age of 25, the doctors said that I would have difficulty conceiving without fertility assistance.

So the title of that book shattered me because I never saw me that way. “Empty wombed” I guess the huge heart kept the womb filled in a sense because I loved and worked with kids at church all the time. My love for children had been intrinsically a part of me as far back as I can remember.

Reality was a bit unkind… but  there was always the Khevna … the wish for a little person. Lenny, husband and I began our arduous and long journey towards becoming parents.

My wish as an adoptive mum is that this blog be a safe place of hope to those may need it.

Love always
