Welcome to the Khevna Foundation Blog, I am Beverley Gengiah… it’s taken me a while but here I am,
…. but there is a time and season for everything under heaven. Just to quote the wisest man ever… King Solomon
Many, many moons ago I was given a book to read called “The Empty Womb” Having being diagnosed with endometriosis at the age of 25, the doctors said that I would have difficulty conceiving without fertility assistance.
So the title of that book shattered me because I never saw me that way. “Empty wombed” I guess the huge heart kept the womb filled in a sense because I loved and worked with kids at church all the time. My love for children had been intrinsically a part of me as far back as I can remember.
Reality was a bit unkind… but there was always the Khevna … the wish for a little person. Lenny, husband and I began our arduous and long journey towards becoming parents.
My wish as an adoptive mum is that this blog be a safe place of hope to those may need it.
Love always
Great work, May your thoughtful words change lives.
Looking forward to seeing this space unfold and blossom.
We celebrate the birth of Khevna Foundation with you.
Congrats

Abba bless you both for creating this safe place for so many ….this place of shalom in the home of their hears in the midst of their own struggles. May we all take from this example of using our own pain as seeds to bring forth hope and comfort to all.
Thank you Devash, much appreciated. Grace to you and the family.
