Good morning, good people. Gone are the behavioral issues of yesteryear with regards to adoption. The informed are more open to its discussions. We are raising a generation of confident and comfortable in their own skin, next level, independent thinkers who understand their place in society and in Christ.
Adoption is no longer a word shunned but embraced. Our daughter recently attended a camp for girls and when asked about herself she shared without reservation that she was adopted.
I am proud of her honesty. She is growing into an advocate of adoption awareness. It is imperative to tell our story and to share our journey in adoption.
It’s not just our daughter but many other children we know who are bold proponents of adoption.
As a family we are far from picture perfect, we have several issues we deal with daily but one thing we are is real. Ours is a progressive journey and I am certain there are many twists and turns that await us on this path in the future. We are not tunneled vision, we prepare for and trust that truth would be prevalent along and down the road.
Adoption awareness sheds light on the plight of many children who are in desperate need of a home and more especially a family. Our stories must be told, may our impact resonate and may many more children find their forever family.
