fill empty homes and orphan hearts

So many emotions run through me as I greet you this morning. Good morning beautiful people.

” As I look back on the road I’ve travelled,
I see so many times He carried me through;
And if there’s one thing that I’ve learned in my life,
My Redeemer is faithful and true.
My Redeemer is faithful and true.

My Redeemer is faithful and true.
Everything He has said He will do,
And every morning His mercies are new.
My Redeemer is faithful and true.”  by Steven Curtis Chapman

Today Len and I celebrate 27 years of marriage. It’s been such an incredible journey. We so grateful to our God for choosing us. Our hearts spill over with joy that through the twists and turns, highs and lows, bumps on the road, our one true constant has and will forever remain the ever present abiding presence of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

As a wife I have fallen short of the picture perfect ideal, and Len has stumbled a few times along the way. Perfect is never meant to be. We carry the scars of covenant. A bold decision to persevere even under tenuous circumstances.

Infertility can shatter any marriage, we are testament of the fact that the covenant we made was more important than any offspring we could produce. See the covenant for us is more about a destiny being established, not our will but yours be done. A laying down of the ideals and desires for ourselves so that a greater purpose, that has been at play may be fulfilled.

More lyrics to the song reveal

“And in every situation He has proved His love to me;
When I lack the understanding, He gives more grace to me.”

Job 19:25 NIV
I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand on the earth.

Through the years we have experienced the redeeming love of Christ in our marriage, so today we enjoy this cord of three strands that is not easily broken.

Happy Anniversary Len, thank you for the laughs, the fights, the real marriage we share. Thank you for the amazing meals you cook, the lovely foot massages. For helping with the chores , for understanding me. For being a very, very present husband and dad to our Ziva. Thank you being a Shepherd, Setman, Father and Pastor to King Priest Ministries. Thank for always being you. I love you forever ❤
