Good morning, good people, we’ve come full circle, the past few weeks have been crazy busy for us. So much going on and still so much to do.
The highlight of it all was seeing the essence of Khevna Foundation being fulfilled to “fill empty homes and orphan hearts”
The journey for a little chap began in abandonment. My first encounter with him was on the day he was placed at a safe house. We were there as usual one Wednesday when this handsome baby boy about 5 days old arrived. I heard he would be joining the rest of the children at the home but him arriving when we were there was a surprise. I actually jumped into the car he came in to meet him. There was an instant connection. This boy was meant for greater things. I knew we had to do something but at this stage we were not clear about what or how.
I prayed and carried him in my heart for days. Eventually I approached a couple we spoke with previously and have been a referral resource to. Their story is so similar to ours.
The struggles and pain of infertility can leave you a bit jaded. So when I first approached them about baby there were uncertainties which is normal. Thereafter the process began and the ball got rolling. We worked closely with our local child welfare. Usually the tedious processes with fostering to adopt moved so swiftly and in a couple months with all legal demands being met baby was placed with them.
This amazing journey for them is now having baby in their care for fostering to adopt.
This fills our hearts with such great joy to know our pain, suffering, and disappointment has worked out for good in our pursuit to “fill empty homes and orphan hearts”
“Giving a child a family means giving them hope, love and belonging”
God is in the detail. This moment felt incredible we’ve come full circle and this circle never ends. We conntinue …. love always 💖
