Good morning, good people. As Mother’s Day rolls around once again, we celebrate and elevate these remarkable women we call mum.
My thoughts always go back to the eighteen long years of being childless and even though I was made a fuss over by my darling nephews, at the close of the day I felt the prick of pain pierce my insides. The aloneness on this journey sucked the air out my lungs and I’d collapse into a pool of tears. Unless you’ve walked the road of infertility you would never fully understand the agony.
The past eleven years have been different and I’ve got to be mum and be celebrated by this amazing child I call my daughter.
Recently we discovered that there is more to marriage as a Christian couple than procreation. We are called to be image bearers of Christ and His church. The union of marriage is to reflect the mystical union of Christ and His church first.
As the Scriptures say, “A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.” This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one. So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
Ephesians 5:31-33 NLT
This is a beautiful and amazing instruction given to us. So this Mother’s Day as your pursuit for motherhood remains may we endeavor to pursue Christ and His example of His love for His church in our marriages.
I believe in wishes coming true, I believe in miracles and I believe in God granting us the desires of our hearts so this Mother’s Day Simply Believe.
This Mother’s Day
Simply believe, I say
In the plan He has for you
Simply believe and do
All that He asks of you
The union of Christ and His church
To represent we are urged
May our lives, marriages and love
Reflect the pattern from above
So on this special day
Simply believe, I say
Love always. 💜 ❤
