Good morning, good people. To say our hearts are full is an understatement, it over flows with joy. Our daughter has filtered into our life like a dawning light. The bright essence of her as encapsulated each moment. She is a burst of energy and giggles. We so grateful for the elevation she brings on so many levels.
Our hope has always been to have a family but the experience of infertility and now adoption has birth a deeper desire for legacy.
What does legacy mean… “When a person dies, the mark the individual left on the world represents that individual’s legacy. While a person’s legacy can involve money, the concept of legacy is much larger than the value of an individual’s estate. It is about the richness of the individual’s life, including what that person accomplished and the impact he or she had on people and places. Ultimately, the story of a person’s life reflects the individual’s legacy.”
As you grow older perspective changes and your mortality is a reality thus one looks toward posterity, an indelible mark that is made to affect generations to come. As proponents of change in all areas of life, spiritually, physically and mentally we constantly endeavor to improve atmospheres and environments.
It is our deep desire and hope to have a transitional home ready within the next few months for girls turning 18 years old who are to leave their current home of safety and be thrust into the world on their own. This transitional home will be a place to stay and transition from teenagers into adulthood. These girls already have the odds stacked against them but with the right skills and tools in their hands I am confident that they will become energetic, enthusiastic individuals who will be able to impact society bringing good into it.
Our assignment would out last our personal journey and we pray for more grace and favour to accomplish this very thing.
Our desire to do these things come from God. Grace – enablement from a higher realm is required. The presence and providence of God Himself, is necessary to attain this. The completion and ability for the task is His to avail.
