My journey through infertility was definitely not a mere inconvenience.
I suffer from a condition called endometriosis.
What you need to know.
• Endometriosis is derived from the word “endometrium,” which is the tissue that lines the uterus. Patients with endometriosis have endometrial-type tissue outside of the uterus
• Endometriosis affects an estimated 2 to 10 percent of American women between the ages of 25 and 40.
• Women with endometriosis are more likely to have infertility or difficulty getting pregnant
• Symptoms of endometriosis may include: excessive menstrual cramps, abnormal or heavy menstrual flow and infertility
• Laparoscopy, a minimally invasive surgical procedure, can be used to definitively diagnose and treat endometriosis.
While there are many other causes of infertility, this was my issue.
First on the agenda was to commence treatment. Which resulted in 3 laparoscopies. While it they were minimally invasive, it was painful and required me to rest for a week after each procedure.
Thereafter I began the various attempts at pregnancy through IVF and homeopathic treatments.
The information shared today is bring awareness that someone struggling infertility is not merely having difficulty to conceive but could be battling a debilitating disease.
May healing, well being and wholeness come to those praying for it.
Love always…
