fill empty homes and orphan hearts

Yes it’s Friday once again, the days are moving swiftly ahead as we get closer the end of the first month of 2022.

This week was first week back at school for Ziva, and so the homework begins. Interestingly enough she was asked to do  a collage that would describe her. This was most exciting for us to work on together. There something’s that are instinctively Ziva. Her curly hair, her love of mutton biryani and shopping. She loves her Bible reading and serves Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She loves sweets and spaghetti, her cellphone and watches, make up and crafting,  playing the guitar and singing. Her family is number one on her list.

Doing this collage and her roping the whole family in, got us to see Ziva with fresh eyes. I am grateful for homework because  it means my girl is learning and growing.

Over the many lonely years of infertility I longed for these times. A time of pouring into a child all that we are and all that God has for that child.

I thank God for the grace He grants us to be able to do this. The trauma of infertility and our coming to the decision to adopt took time and a toll on us. So we are not old but older parents. Great grace is needed for any parent and we thank God that we are able to enjoy the exciting adventure of raising 5th Grader @ 50.

Love always
