In my first blog I used the words “adoptive mum” I would like to adjust that.
I am MUM … Welcome to the Khevna Blog once again.
Mum to our beautiful Ziva Lily, yes after seventeen of longing, hoping and waiting our miracle arrived. The only way to describe our precious gift from God is to say we have been blessed.
Her dimpled smile is a duplicate reminder of her dad’s. (That being a miracle in itself) Her warm and caring nature is a reminder that she is watching and copying our words and actions daily.
We literally had hours to prepare for her dramatic entrance into our lives. Months earlier we had gone through a failed adoption attempt that left us devastated. So hearing about another baby so soon seemed a bit ill timed.
He has made everything beautiful in its time… Ecclesiastes 3:11 ESV
I am a firm believer in God making all things beautiful in His time. In our lives His timing was perfect for our miracle.
I will forever be grateful to the young lady that carried our miracle for us. Her decision was bold and courageous which opened our lives to the whole new world of parenthood.
Ziva’s arrival removed the pain of seventeen years in a flash. As I said earlier we had been through many procedures, proddings and pokings that left us in despair. While I was keen on adoption my husband had to be nudged into it slowly over the years. I know that it is the deep desire of every couple going through infertility, to conceive. This was our desire as well but this was not meant to be. Now almost ten years later as Ziva turns ten in the new year, we have seen God’s timing and planning unfold miraculously. Ours was a seamless adoption process but that is a story for another day.
Our hope for those out there going through the indecision is that you would come to terms with “however parenthood/motherhood comes to you is a miracle.” Valerie Harper.
Love always

This is such a beautiful demonstration of the love of Jesus in lives , to be an adoptive parent is a blessing on its own.

Thank you Michelle, it is by God’s grace we can do this. Thank you for the support It is much appreciated.
What an amazing story. And yes, I believe in eternity long before time existed, the Father knew who our sons and daughters will be, and He places everything insync, looks(dimples) and all. You are an amazing mum, attention to detail, I have only seen Ziva a few times, and she possesses all of the goodness that you are growing her into. Well done to you both. Be blessed with your preteen.
Thank you Jocelyn, much appreciated. Love to all.
