Warm greetings and welcome once again to the Khevna Foundation Blog. Has it been a week already, time really flies when you busy doing the things you love.

We waited and waited for our miracle to come, while others counted the passing years, we counted it by months. Each month was a reminder that we were not going to be parents. With each passing month the anguish grew while the longing never faded.

Our first attempt at fertility was a scary and an exciting process. Like anything new attempted, we were nervous, anxious and overjoyed all at once. Having to explain ourselves to the Doctor, a Specialist in Infertility for the first time was nerve-racking. We were so young and hopeful. The Doctor was open and direct. He gave us our diagnosis after much “prodding and poking”.  We were on the road to becoming parents. We left the Doctor’s rooms elated.

This was the first of many visits to various Doctor’s room to the point of were explaining our situation was a narrative rattled off by heart. The heartache of never conceiving was the worst pain imaginable. What was being done to my body could never compare to the pain our hearts had to bear.

The Khevna … our wish was to come to us another way. My hope and prayer for every couple hurting now is to come to know the other option ….. Adoption.
